# Get one principal

GET https://api.withwrit.com/v1/principals/{principalId}

API key required. Tombstoned principals still return 200 — they stay
resolvable by id forever so old receipts keep their meaning. A
principalId from another tenant is 404, so tenants cannot probe
each other's directories.
